Valleyschwag4 Packing is Underway

We woke up this morning with a song in our hearts and a spring in our step. Nothing can bring us down today, not even a full blown attack on our integrity in the comments section of our previous blog post. No, today is a Good Day because before dinner we’ll take a truckload of schwadellic goodness to the post office.

Noona, Paul, and Dan (our special guest valleyschwagger) and myself have been packing like madpeople, and by 11pm last night we’d gotten the first 1200 labels printed and stuck on envelopes and a good 1500 new shirts counted, folded, and stacked. w00t!

We like to set expectations as often as possible, so here are a few little reminders.
1) It will take us a while to get every package out. We might still be mailing the first week of september.
2) The postal system can be s-l-o-w, especially when customs are involved.
3) As always, we guarantee that each package will have one t-shirt plus assorted schwag. Occasionally we have enough shirts for some people to get 2, but it looks like that won’t happen much in VS4.
4) There’s a slim chance that you’ll mistakedly get a shirt that you already have. If this happens just email us and we’ll send you a free bonus shirt. (But don’t lie, because Amy is a mommy and she can always tell when you’re not telling the truth.)
Yeehaw!

    From past experience - u got any rough idea how long it takes for the packages to arrive in the UK? (ie generally 3,7,10 days?) My fear is that I go on vacation and the schwag arrives the day after I leave (11th Sept) and ends up getting returned to sender :(

    @Mark
    We haven’t been able to keep track of average times, but I bet some other blog readers have. Anyone?

    Excellent news - I hope it’s been worth the wait (and I imagine it will have been).

    I still believe in the almighty VS! So On, Comet! on Cupid! on, Donder and Blitzen!…oh wait…not quite that time of year yet (but sure feels like it!).

    Good to hear!
    Hopefully USPS doesn’t mess it up this time and send it all over the US before getting it to me.

    @Mark

    My last 2 have taken between 1 and 2 weeks to get here

    @the valleyschwag massive - I’m excited, its taken time but this is only your 4th package so I think your still learning which is a good thing.

    This is a great service you guys are running. I’m a ’schwag virgin and patiently awaiting my first shipment. I’ll let everyone know how long it takes to ship up to Canada and if customs leaves it alone.

    @Rishi
    It’ll be best to wait until we have the new system in place to re-subscribe. We’re currently not taking on new subscribers, but returning members will probably be able to re-subscribe.

    The cutoff for VS4 was July 28 (one month after the cutoff for VS3). Any new subscribers since then will start with VS5.

    YAY!
