What you missed if you didn’t log on last Friday night
Chad, our inspiration for the Jumpcut Video Contest, is at it again. This time he’s put together a little flick of our epic Hoedown from the perspective of our remote attendees. Check it out, pretty amusing.

Thanks, Chad! Seeing the party from your perspective gave us some ideas for improving the remote experience the next time. Plus it was just plain fun to watch.
Hugs ‘n’ kisses,
Amy & the posse

Great job Chad! The Blazing Saddles clip was oddly appropriate… lol

LOL. Thanks Dan
and thanks Amy
I’m sure the next remote party will be way better and even more fun! What would be really neat would be to have multiple icam’s hooked up (each computer having its own cam) all networked so that we, the users, can toggle between the cams and switch our view.
Special thanks to Chris for the tour of the party, he carried and pampered us all night!

Just a note to all… the QUICKTIME version is MUCH better quality. Blip.tv compresses the swf version a bit too much.. so it looks crappier.
I was going to do this in JumpCut, but their limit of 50mb per file was quite ridiculous seeing how I had to mix 6 ‘chunks’ of footage, each at 1.5GB. And when I compiled everything in Premiere the final file was 150MB. 50MB is too small JumpCut team! Make it at LEAST 100mb!

Looks like a great time was had by all. Now that that’s out of the way, shouldn’t you be working on VS4?
Dan.

@Daniel: We’ve got people for whom this is their full-time job. So yes, we are working on it.
Also, events like this help us get the word out so that we can get you guys better schwag.

Is there any update on VS4? I haven’t seen a blog post since the party… and its almost the end of the month!
Oh, and Thor promised my schwag this month would be good
Thanks Amy!

Hey Chad… I know it’s hard to wait. Packages will start going out at the end of the month as scheduled.

Gee - sure is quiet round here…. and there was me thinkin you guys blog too often and I couldn’t keep up

I was thinking more or less the same thing. More than a week without a blog posting seems unusual.
Always optimistic, though, I’m absoultely sure that the time saved by not posting to the blog is going into getting us more cool stuff in our VS packages (which *should* be shipping any day now, right?). And I’m all for that. So I’m not complaining.
